During the Venky's Pound 54 million deal with English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers, then the company's chairperson Anuradha Desai told in presence of media persons about the deal as well as assured for the Football Fans of India that, the club will support the sport more avidly following an Indian connection with it. In 20th Round match Viva Kerala trounced JCT 4-1 at home at at the Jawahar Municipal stadium today. Viva took lead in 19th minute by Sajesh P from a measured corner of Anil Kumar. Upro the end of first half Viva was leading 1-0. In 3rd minutes of 2nd half Karma T doubled the margin for Viva. Again the final pass was given by Anil Kumar. JCT reduced the margin in 67th minue through Ajay singh who scored by a nice header by beating Viva keeper Sarath from a cross of Bodru Ibrahim. Anil Kumar scored two goals in 87th and 90+5 minutes for Viva's 4-1 win and scored his 10th goal in I-League. His 2nd goal came from a Free Kick of N.P. Pradeep which beat JCT keeper Naveen Kumar. With this win, Viva have garnered 18 points and still have six more games, while JCT have 14 points from 18 matches. Viva will now play Mumbai FC in their next home match. Today Anil Kumar should get the Man of the Match award for his excellent performances but it went to Sajesh P. of Viva.

Swedish wonderkid Kristoffer Olsson finally signed for Arsenal U-16 team after a long 15 days trial in the North London team. The 15 years old Olsson will start his career in Arsenal U-16 a match against Crystal Palace in Ferrolli Cup in Atalanta. As per his agent Per Jonsson, the IFK Norrkoping midfielder Olsson who played U-16 National team for his country is set for a permanent move to Arsenal with the deal costing around Pound 200,000. Norrkoping's sporting director Tony Martinsson confirmed the teenager has spent time with Arsenal but says any deal is yet to be agreed.
